Medulla Oblongata

Continuation of spinal cord
Role in automatically adjusting body functions. Contains cardiac centre, respiratory centre, and vasomotor centre.

Pons Varolii

Directly above medulla and in front of cerebellum.
Bridge of nerve cells and fibres connecting spinal cord with brain.

Mid-brain

Between pons and diencephalon
Connects cerebrum with lower parts of the brain and the spinal cord.
