Contains optimum concentration of nutrients, ions, gases and water;
Stays at a constant temperature - the optimum temperature for normal cell functioning.
Maintained at the optimum pressure.

Body senses changes in internal environment through nervous and endocrine systems.

Operates through negative feedback.
