Baybars conquers Antioch

Malmuk sultan led conquest

city fell after 4 days; sultan ordered the doors of the city closed and the inhabitants, including women and children, massacred.

it was the single greatest masacre of the entire crusading era.

Count Bohemund VI wasn't in the city, so Baybars wrote him describing the carnage that he missed.

Antioch was the oldest of the crusader states, stood for 170 years.
