Front (Question)
Back (Answer)
horizon graph is a technique for increasing the data density of a time-series view while preserving resolution.

graph "mirrors" negative values into the same region as positive values, doubling the data density of the area chart. The third chart-a horizon graph-doubles the data density yet again by dividing the graph into bands and layering them to create a nested form. The result is a chart that preserves data resolution but uses only a quarter of the space.
